Hi everyone! Welcome back to another Dubai blog. In July 2025, I finally visited the At The Top – Burj Khalifa Observation Deck, the world-famous experience atop the tallest building in the world. If you’re planning a trip to Dubai, I’m here to share exactly what it was like from my perspective – tickets, elevator, views, and little tips I wish I knew beforehand.
Booking & Tickets
I used my Klook Dubai Pass, which included two attractions and two theme parks. For my trip, I used it for:
- At The Top – Burj Khalifa Observation Deck
- teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi
- Ferrari World Abu Dhabi
- Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi
The pass cost me $146 total, which worked out to roughly $36.5 per ticket. Honestly, it’s a steal if you’re planning multiple attractions.

If you just want the Burj Khalifa ticket alone, Klook sells them starting at $43. There are two main ticket types:
- Level 124 & 125 – Access to the 124th and 125th floors, free WiFi, and telescopes on the observation deck.
- Level 148 – Includes all of the above plus access to the 148th floor.
Tickets are also available in prime and non-prime hours. I went in the afternoon around 2:30 PM, which is a non-prime time. Fewer people, cheaper tickets, and perfect if you hate crowds like me.
Arrival & Entry
The entrance is through Dubai Mall, and it’s super straightforward. After showing my ticket, I walked through a short corridor displaying the history, 3D models, and architectural highlights of Burj Khalifa – a nice little intro while waiting for the elevator.

Then came the elevator, which is the fastest in the world. It took about 100–120 seconds to reach the 124th floor. They cram a lot of people in, so it felt a bit tight, but the ride was over in a flash. Animations inside the elevator made it a little more exciting.
Observation Deck & Views
The 124/125 floor observation deck was incredible. Inside, the view is stunning, but the balcony is the real highlight – open air but surrounded by glass. I could see Downtown Dubai stretching out forever.
Since I went on a weekday afternoon, the deck was almost empty – maybe 20–30 people in total. If you go at sunset or on weekends, it can get super crowded, so good luck finding a spot to take pictures.
Pro tip: If you can, try early morning for sunrise. Tickets are cheaper, and you get the deck almost to yourself.

My Take
Honestly, if you’ve been to cities like Bangkok, Singapore, or Kuala Lumpur, the view might feel familiar. The Burj Khalifa doesn’t feel as insanely tall because so many buildings surround it. For me, it was more of a “been there, done that” tourist experience, but I still loved standing at the top of the world’s tallest building.

If you’re not into tourist-heavy spots, I’d suggest Sky Views Observatory Dubai instead – fewer crowds, better adventure options, and a slightly more thrilling experience.
Extras & Souvenirs
At the top, there are photo booths, green-screen photos, and souvenirs. Prices are a bit steep, but it’s fun if you want a memory to take home.
Tips for Visiting
- Book online – Cheaper, faster entry, and guarantees your slot.
- Afternoon or early morning – Best times for fewer crowds.
- Bring your phone/camera – The balcony views are incredible.
- Klook Dubai Pass – Definitely worth it if visiting multiple attractions.
Final Thoughts
Visiting At The Top – Burj Khalifa Observation Deck was a cool experience. Not mind-blowing if you’ve seen many skyscraper observation decks, but still a must-do for first-time Dubai visitors. I’d rate it 7/10, mainly for the views, the thrill of the elevator, and just saying I was at the top of the world!
